Outline of the Engineering Facultyprocess.
Four courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering,
and Urban Environment are the basis of teaching the fundamentals of engineering and
cuttingedge technologies to the technicians who support modern day society.
The multiple courses offered in this department allow for interests in the areas extending
beyond the major courses to be addressed as well.
As Engineering is a major field bearing the burdens of present day society, greater numbers of engineers will be necessary to maintain an increasingly complex and highly-developed social infrastructure. In our Engineering Faculty, we seek to train engineers who, with a thorough comprehension of the basic knowledge and an understanding of the interrelationships between engineering technologies, have the ability to make decisions across a broad range of issues. Alongside our curriculum based on the cutting edge technologies from around the world as well as the basics in engineering, we offer a wide range of advanced technical courses to provide insight into developing already existent engineering technologies. The Faculty has established three major courses pertaining to electricity in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a major course in Applied Chemistry, two major courses relating to mechanics in Mechanical Engineering, and three courses related to civil engineering and architecture in Urban Environment.
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering:
Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Information Networking Engineering
This broadly based department provides students with the socially essential fields related to Electricity, Electronics, and Information Networking. Students acquire the basics of the generation of electricity and its management, radio wave and network communication systems, a fundamental knowledge of integrated circuit electronics and electrical and electronic devices which provide the core of data processing and transmission.
Within the selected major, the focus is on specialized knowledge, as engineers lead the ever-advancing world of information technology.
Department of Applied Chemistry: Applied Chemistry
It is impossible to imagine the present 'high-tech' age of advanced technologies or the unlimited supply of new materials that is anticipated without considering the field of Material (Matter) that is dealt with in the science of Applied Chemistry. By applying a wide-ranging education and research that keeps the resolution of environmental problems as a basic tenet, it is the aim of this department to train researchers and chemical engineers with a sensitivity for materials, who, as they search for new forms of matter, strive to create new materials which are useful to a sustainable society.
Department of Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Engineering/
Intelligent Mechanical Engineering
The purpose of our department is training keen and perceptive engineers who accept
the challenge of creating and manufacturing in the 21st century. The core subjects
of Mechanical Engineering comprise Materials, Manufacturing, Thermodynamics, Fluid
Dynamics, Kinematics, and System Planning, and are the basis for the specialized
knowledge relating to the technologies of CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer
Aided Manufacturing) and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering), robotics and mechatronics
taught within the chosen major .
Department of Urban Environment: Civil Engineering/ Architecture/
Environmental Engineering
The training offered in our department covers the totality of urban environment perspectives related to infrastructure as it is dealt with in Civil Engineering, as well as to building structures which are the focus of Architecture. As part of their selected major students are provided the tools with which to envision spaces that are harmonious for all living things, as well as the construction of any type of structural object or facility, and the development of technical systems. An overall approach towards environmental considerations is the mainstay of this educational process.
