Civil Engineering Major
This diverse academic field covers the fundamental social infrastructures of transportation facilities including roads, railways, ports and airports, the preservation of rivers and coasts, disaster prevention against floods and earthquakes, preservation of natural environments, and the construction, maintenance and management of lifelines such as waterworks and power generation. In this major, students practice measuring, experience civil engineering, and learn with hands-on type training focusing on small group seminars. Our goal is to train engineers who have the teamwork skills which are essential to civil engineering projects.
