The Yakusa Campus is an expansive site, richly blessed with greenery, where all of the essential facilities for a university education have been gathered.
Research Institute for Industrial Technology (RIIT)
In addition to assisting with internationalization, improvements and diversification of activities in education and research, our research is aimed at contributing to advances in regional production. Besides cooperating in joint international research, government research projects and the like, our work comprises operating in various functions related to advanced research and as the interface between our university and other agencies in numerous large research programs that are already underway.
We have concentrated our efforts in creating a library which offers services adapted to the era of information technology. Whether one is doing an on-line search for books in our own library's collection and the engineering thesis database, using the Japan Science and Technology Corporation information search service (EnjoyJOIS) or the National Institute of Informatics information search service (NACSIS-IR), or searching scientific journals and e-journals, the library serves as a new means of promoting intellectual activity.
Information Technology Center/ Computer Education Center
With a university-wide computer network, the Information Technology Center provides users in research, education and administration with an optimum computing environment. At the Center, we maintain and administer high speed computer servers, file servers and others which are used in engineering research requiring high volume computation. The Information Technology Center is the center for Data Processing education, and we offer an environment in which students can freely make use of the networking facilities outside of their scheduled classes.
Academic Support Center
The Center offer pertinent guidance and advice for students' daily lives and answers questions students have. A staff of specialists provide candid and sincere support while gathering information and considering alternatives as they tend to individual worries, questions, and hopes.
The student union features a cafe on the first floor. The second floor hosts a career center, an exhibition lounge where students can exchange ideas, private lounges where students can study, and a media lounge equipped with PC and AV equipment.
Our department makes our university's educational and research functions available to a wider public through the continuing education agency. Aichi Institute of Technology students can acquire qualification or improve their work skills through effective lectures. There are diverse extension lectures and seminars available to the general public, as well as a variety of programs for junior and senior high school students.
Internship Support Center
The center has established effective communications between businesses and students participating in internships, and by means of the internet, the center has put into operation a simplified system for registering and matching students and businesses.
Student Workshop (Mirai Kobo)
MIRAI Kobo is a creative workshop for developing young people's dreams and motivation, their spirit of adventure and their sense of challenge by experiencing Engineering through the origins of inventing objects. A diverse variety of machine and tools have been set up, and through series of lectures and classes designed for elementary school pupils, and junior and senior high school students, we offer a chance to experience first hand the thrill of creating objects.
Seismic Resistance Experiment Center ( SEIREX )
Our university has set up the one of the largest joint testing facilities in Japan bringing together the cooperative forces of industry, government and academia. By aiming to improve earthquake resistance in housing and in bridges, as well as to develop seismic isolation systems, numerous ongoing joint industry and university research collaborations have contributed to developments in seismic technology and structural engineering.
A lively sports environment has been achieved with the unbeatable sports facilities which include a gymnasium equipped with training gyms and measurement facilities, an athletics stadium with an infield rugby court, a baseball field for practice in all sorts of weather, a soccer field, ball fields, tennis courts, and Japanese archery target range.
Student Commons and dormitories are only the start of facilities including restaurants, books stores, stationery supplies store, a computer store, convenience stores and the like which have all been brought together to create a comfortable environment for the students to live and study in.
The facilities are conveniently located along Higashiyama Dori (on the southwest corner of Motoyama intersection) in Nagoya City. In addition to facilities specially for the Gradual School of Business Administration and Computer Science, the facilities also function as a satellite for extension and distance learning courses and includes and information center, coffee shop and other infrastructure.
The Jiyugaoka campus is home to the Faculty of Business Management's Business Management Course Management and Information Systems Major and Business Management Major.
The campus seeks to be a green campus open to the community, and features a research zone consisting of lecture halls, research labs and seminar labs, exchange lounges on the first and second floors, and a Public Zone which can be used by community residents.
