In addition to assisting with internationalization, improvements and diversification of activities in education and research, our research is aimed at contributing to advances in regional production. Besides cooperating in joint international research, government research projects and the like, our work comprises operating in various functions related to advanced research and as the interface between our university and other agencies in numerous large research programs that are already underway.
Library
Library
We have concentrated our efforts in creating a library which offers services adapted to the era of information technology. Whether one is doing an on-line search for books in our own library's collection and the engineering thesis database, using the Japan Science and Technology Corporation information search service (EnjoyJOIS) or the National Institute of Informatics information search service (NACSIS-IR), or searching scientific journals and e-journals, the library serves as a new means of promoting intellectual activity.
Information Technology Center/ Computer Education Center
Information Technology Center/ Computer Education Center
With a university-wide computer network, the Information Technology Center provides users in research, education and administration with an optimum computing environment. At the Center, we maintain and administer high speed computer servers, file servers and others which are used in engineering research requiring high volume computation. The Information Technology Center is the center for Data Processing education, and we offer an environment in which students can freely make use of the networking facilities outside of their scheduled classes.
Academic Support Center
